Nerd Rage is our attempt to bring a new and unique event to Little Rock GameCon. Nerd rage is a trivia game that involves 4 players and the crowd.

Event Details:
Saturday(Prelims)- 12:00PM - 1:00PM
Saturday(Prelims) - 7:00PM - 8:00PM
Sunday(Finals) - 12:00PM - 1:00PM

How It Works:
Everyone who shows up for nerd rage is given a number, at the beginning of the game four (4) players are chosen at random. The players are then asked questions from a set of categories picked at random. The players are then asked a random question for the chosen category. The players will then have thirty (30) seconds to write down their answer. After the time has elasped the players will then share their answers, any player who guess's the wrong answer will be sent packin back to the crowd.

At this point a player number will be randomly picked from the crowd to fill the empty spot. This order will continue for the duration of the game. However thats not all the players have to worry about. They also have to worry about powerups.

How Powerups Work:
For every question a player gets right in a row they will have access to a new tier of powerup. However a powerup is all or nothing, for instance if a player gets three(3) questions right they will only be able to use the Tier 1, 2 OR 3 powerup, not a culimnation of all three. Once a powerup is used the player will then have to start back over at zero (0).

Tier I (One Question Streak): Bailout - A player may use this powerup to skip out on having to answer a question. This powerup may be used after a category is chosen but BEFORE a question is asked. In addition the player will lose one (1) point for using this powerup.

Tier II (Two Question Streak): Override - A player may use this powerup to change the chosen category to one of their choice. This powerup may be used after a category is chosen but BEFORE a question is asked. In addition the player will lose one (1) point for using this powerup.

Tier III (Three Question Streak): Extra Life- A player may use this powerup to avoid being replaced after answering a question wrong. This powerup may only be used after answering a question wrong.

Tier IV (Four Question Streak): Reinforcements - A player may use this powerup to receive help from one person in the crowd. The person they choose from the crowd may help them for a maximum of four (4) questions, at which point the reinforcement player must return to the crowd. This powerup may be used during any point in the game.

Tier V (Five Question Streak): NERD RAGEEE! - A player may use this ulimate powerup to deliver a mighty blast of nerd rage at any of there contestants, instantly eliminating that player back into the crowd.

How To Win:
For every question a player answers right they receive one (1) point. Points are tallyed up over the first two sessions of Nerd Rage. The top eight (8) players over the first two sessions will play in the third and final session.

How The Finals Work:
The top eight (8) Nerd Ragers will compete for the top prize and bragging rights in the finals. In the finals no player will be eliminated. Instead for every question answered wrong you will lose two (2) points.
